Buenas tardes y bienvenidos a España:

España es como hoy la conocemos gracias a la influencia de muchas culturas diferentes, que siglo tras siglo dejaron aquí su poso, celtas, fenicios, cartaginenses, griegos, romanos, visigodos, musulmanes, judíos, cristianos, el Nuevo Mundo, las guerras con Inglaterra, Francia y en varias ocasiones entre nosotros mismos, hicieron del nuestro un país de contrastes a lo largo y ancho de toda su geografía.

España ha sido, por muchos años, un país de tópicos  y se nos ha conocido en el mundo entero por nuestros típicos toros y toreros y flamencas de batas de lunares con volantes, pero eso ya ha quedado atrás y España que sigue con sus tradiciones arraigadas,  además de tópicos y flamenco, es muchas más cosas… Vídeo de España historia.

España es un país con una basta historia… hay que tener en cuenta que los primeros humanos llegaron al territorio de la actual España hace 1.200.000 años.

España es un país con un amplio e importante patrimonio natural y cultural, en arte clásico y moderno, pintura, arquitectura, artes escénicas, música, danza, teatro, cine, moda y literatura…  Vídeo de España cultural.

Esto es sólo una pequeña muestra de lo amplio y variado que es nuestro país y nuestra cultura… como amplia y variada es su tradición oral en cuanto a leyendas, fábulas y cuentos se refiere, tradición que pasó por siglos de padres a hijos y de boca a boca.

En nuestro país varios recopiladores de cuentos se han dedicado a recabar toda esa tradición oral y ponerla por escrito como Fernán Caballero,  autora que también preparó versiones de los mitos clásicos para niños, Aurelio M. ESPINOSA e hijo, Antonio  RODRÍGUEZ ALMODÓVAR con sus Cuentos al amor de la lumbre.  Anaya, 1983. sus Cuentos de la media lunita y Cuentos populares españoles y José Antonio SÁNCHEZ PÉREZ entre otros muchos.

Cuentos muchos de ellos crueles y, a veces extremadamente duros que eran un fiel reflejo de la vida en la sociedad rural ocupada en su propia subsistencia en la que se malvivía en aquel tiempo. Y que muchos de ellos, para nada nos parecen adecuados por los modelos que argumentan, para contárselos a nuestros niños.

• Y por eso para el cuenta-cuentos de hoy hemos elegido un cuento mucho más amable y adaptado a la edad de nuestros chicos y chicas, pero por ello no menos español. La primera vez que este cuento-secreto se contó lo hizo el Padre Luis Coloma (1851-1915), miembro de la Real Academia Española desde 1908. Desde Palacio pidieron al padre Coloma que contará un cuento cuando a Alfonso XIII, que era el abuelo de nuestro ahora rey, se le cayó un con la edad de 8 años.

Hoy traemos la versión de Ana Serna – Vara con ilustraciones de Margarita Menéndez, (ahhhhh, por cierto la autora de este libro además de escritora, trabaja como directora de un colegio de Infantil y primaria como éste en Madrid)

El Cuento se titula El RATONCITO PÉREZ  y dice así…

El Ratoncito Pérez de Ana Serna Vara

El ratoncito Pérez es, ha sido y será el personaje más popular en la vida de los niños y las niñas de todos los tiempos.

Recoge cada noche los dientes de leche caídos y los cambia por regalos. Pero…,

¿sabéis por qué el ratoncito Pérez empezó esa extraña y divertida costumbre?

¡En este libro lo descubriréis!

Al ratoncito Pérez le encanta deslizarse, de día y de noche, por el pasamanos de la escalera que conduce al sótano.

¡Mi diente!

¡Plom, plum, plam, plim, plum!

¡Mi diente!

¡Un ratón que se precie no puede vivir sin dientes!

¡Cacaraca!

–          Doña Gallina, ¿puede darme uno de sus dientes? – preguntó el ratoncito.

–          ¡Cuánto lo siento! ¡Las gallinas no tenemos dientes! Pero puedo darte esta piruleta.

Y, cacareando, se fue con él.

–          Señor Burro, ¿puede darme uno de sus dientes? – preguntó de nuevo el ratoncito.

–          ¡Lamento decirte que los burros viejecitos ya no tenemos dientes! Pero puedo darte este globo tan bonito.

Y, rebuznando, se fue con él.

–          Señor Árbol, ¿me puede dar uno de sus dientes?

–          ¡Cuánto lo siento, ratoncito Pérez! Los árboles tenemos ramas, hojas, incluso flores… ¡pero no tenemos dientes! Sin embargo, te daré esta rica nuez.

Y respirando, respirando, se fue con él.

–          Señora Rana, ¿podría darme uno de sus dientes?

–          ¿Dientes yo? ¡qué bobada! Las ranas tenemos una hermosa y larga lengua, ¡pero no tenemos dientes! ¡Toma, te daré este yoyó tan divertido! Y, saltando, se fue con él.

–          Señor cerdo, ¿sería tan amable de darme uno de sus dientes?

–          ¿Mis dientes? ¿Has dicho uno de mis preciosos dientes? ¡Ni hablar! ¿Cómo comería yo mi rica comidita? Lo que sí haré es darte esta moneda.

Y, gruñendo, se marchó con él.

–          Señor Búho, ¿me puede dar uno de sus dientes?

–          Estimado ratoncito Pérez, ¡las aves no tenemos dientes! Pero te puedo decir cómo conseguirlos. ¡Pregúntale ala Luna!

Y se fue en busca dela Luna.

–          Señora Luna, ¿dónde puedo encontrar un diente?

–          No grites tanto. Aunque esté lejos, puedo oírte perfectamente. ¡Sígueme, te conduciré a casa de Blas, al que hoy se le ha caído un diente!

Y el ratoncito Pérez siguió ala Luna.

El ratoncito Pérez, la gallina, el burro, el árbol, el cerdo y la rana suben sin hacer ruido, uno tras otro, la larga escalera.

El ratoncito Pérez entra muy despacito en la habitación donde se encuentra Blas profundamente dormido.

¡Por fin, allí, debajo de la almohada, encuentra el tan deseado diente!

¡Cuántos regalos!

El ratoncito Pérez coge con sumo cuidado el diente de Blas y, junto a su cama, le deja un montón de regalos: la piruleta, el globo, la nuez, el yoyó y la moneda.

Y para celebrarlo, el ratoncito Pérez, ahora ya muy sonriente con su diente, organiza una gran fiesta, a la que están invitados la gallina, el burro, el árbol, el cerdo, la rana, el búho y, por supuesto,la Luna.

Desde entonces, el ratoncito Pérez ya puede volver a deslizarse por el pasamanos de la escalera y hacer todas las locuras que se le ocurren, porque cuando él o cualquiera de sus amigos necesitan un diente, acuden a casa del niño al que se le haya caído ese día y se lo llevan… a cambio de un precioso regalo.

A real mouse can not live without teeth!

Cock-a-doodle-doo!

–          Mrs. Hen, can you give me one of your teeth? – Asked the mouse.

–          I’m so sorry! Chickens have no teeth! But I can give you this lollipop.

And, cackling, she went with him.

–          Mr Donkey, can you give me one of your teeth? – Asked again the little mouse.

–          I regret to say that donkeys and old people have no teeth! But I can give you this beautiful balloon.

Since then, Pérez de Mouse can slide down the staircase handrail again and do all the crazy things he wants, because when he or any of his friends need a tooth, he can go to the house of a child whose tooth fell off that day and take it… for a precious gift.
